Billet Host Information
What are my responsibilities as a Host Billet?
NUMBER OF BILLETS
Host billets will be assigned a minimum of two (2) billets per billet home. In the case where only two (2) participants are assigned to one (1) billet home and one of the participant’s cancels at the last minute, the remaining participant will be reassigned to another billet home or another participant will be assigned to that billet home.
TRANSPORTATION
Pick up athletes at Registration Check-In on Thursday evening, February 4, 2010. You will be contacted at a later date with a time. Transport athlete to and from his/her sport venue, if it is not within walking distance. Sports competitions run Friday morning, February 5 to Sunday at noon, February 7, 2010.
MEALS
Provide supper on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings (February 4 to February 6, 2010).
Provide breakfast on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings (February 5 to February 7, 2010).
Athletes are to provide their own lunches.
ACCOMMODATIONS
All athletes 18 years and under MUST be billeted.Provide a clean room to sleep in.
****All billet homes must be non-smoking inside ****
Athletes are responsible for bringing their own sleeping bag and foamy.
SUPERVISION
Provide basic parental supervision.
Games Society curfew is 12:00 MIDNIGHT - however, should you require an earlier curfew, you may take into consideration the athlete’s competitions. Any violations of curfew MUST be reported to the Host Committee Immediately via the Games Office.
Alcohol, drugs, gambling or betting will not be tolerated - any athlete in violation MUST be reported to the Host Committee Immediately via the Games Office.
